Nail polish can really come in handy around the house. It can solve all types of household problems. It can stop a fray and even seal a stubborn envelope.

1) Protect Your Pearl Buttons
Pearl or shell buttons can be fragile. Then can become brittle and peel. Coat them with clear nail polish to protect them.

Sometimes a seam fray may mean the end of your favorite garment. But not if you know a trick. Coat the fray in clear nail polish to stop it from spreading.
3) Smudge Proof Labels
Labels can get smudged or fade away after time. Especially if you leave them outside. Waterproof and smudgeproof them with some clear nail polish.
